SCULPTURE - Thematic tour in English (1.30hr)

As a multidisciplinary artist, sculpture plays an important role in Anselm Kiefer's work. The site of La Ribaute, being both his former studio—the heart of his creative practice—and today, a total work of art, enabled him to experiment with and create some of his large-scale works. This tour, which lasts around an hour and a half (1.5 hour), moves away from the artist's pictorial practice to explore La Ribaute’s sculpture park. Included in this itinerary are not only emblematic works, such as the towers, but also other monumental installations made up of materials chosen for their particular physical and symbolic qualities. Additionally, the tour explores recurring themes in Kiefer's work, such as mysticism, literature and poetry.

This walking tour lasts includes dirt paths, steep inclines, and staircases. We recommend that you wear suitable footwear. As most of the tour takes place outside, we advise you to dress according to the weather conditions.
